Park Circle/Druid Hill Park was the location of choice for the 2023 Baltimore/DC One Carnival. This annual event celebrates the people and culture from the Caribbean Islands. Each year the celebration kicks off with a parade, but this is not the common parade.

It’s one of the best parades in the city. Rhythmic island music, vibrant costumes, and eye popping dancing turned this subdued historic area into an energetic oasis. I am sure most did not realize the history of the facilities they assembled on - like School 18, Carlins Park. But, I realized the significance and thought it worthy of documenting.
